This is our new welcome video! Please be sure to share and like/subscribe to our social media accounts for more content! ==================================================== Transcipt: ... So good evening, and I think most of you know my name is Sam Argenziano, and I am the pastor of Holy Rosary Parish. I have been pastor here since August 1, 1995. We are not just a ministering to people of Italian origin or Italian immigrant but now we have people from all over the world that come here. So although we are still the Italian parish, we are quickly moving from Italian national, shall we say to Italian heritage. People may think their parish is just about going to mass on Sunday, or holidays or feast days but really its a full life, its prayer life, its work life, its family life. My name is Tonina Fiorentino and I am the pastoral minister at Holy Rosary Church. My role at Holy Rosary is to be the coordinator for RCIA. Now, RCIA stands for the Rights of the Christian Initiation of Adults, which is adult catechism. I also take care of baptisms in the church. The baptisms are an average of 145 a year. We are so lucky to have a priest as gregarious as Father Sam. That with that, we have a lot of people who actually come in to Holy Rosary from all over the world to have their children baptised. So it just goes to show you that when you have a shepherd, that is so warm, and so embracing of everyone, you know that you have a wonderful church. And our ministry for us is to be a welcome place, and that I believe we are. So my name is Julia Stiller and I am the coordinator of Faith Formation here at Holy Rosary. We currently have 178 families, and a total of 238 children in our program right now. So our location in the heart of Osborne village make sit perfect to invite a diverse group of people into our parish, and the children learn from the different cultures that they come from, but at the same time, they also learn that the Catholic foundation is the same regardless of what color or race we are, and that is what makes this church so special to us. Obviously the church building is a sign of Gods presence in the neighbourhood, but its we the people, we make the heart, we are the heart, and we make it beat. Our journey in life is to be aware of who we are, not only remember our past, but have the courage to change if needs be, to adapt if need be, to be the presence of God around us. That is the coming gift that is when I say, Holy Rosary becomes a gift to the world around us.

A message from Tabs for Wheelchairs: Hi Everyone! On Thursday, Oct. 1, we are moving all the bags of tabs from our storage unit at Access Storage on Marion St. to a YRC Freight transfer truck.... We still have need for a few volunteers to help us with this endeavor. The storage unit we have is approximately 10 ft. away from the loading dock and you are basically outside all the time. We would need you for about 2 hours and you would have to be physically able to lift 30 lb. bags. We would also ask you to wear a mask for everyone's safety. Gloves will be provided if you require them. You would need to be at Access Storage for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1. It is located at 750 Marion St. which is between Archibald and Lagimodiere. Please let me know as soon as you can if you are interested in helping us with this activity! It would truly be appreciated! email to [email protected] Gwen Buccini Tabs for Wheelchairs Coordinator Holy Cross School

Catechism for Children update - please share to spread the word As you know we usually begin our Catechism year on the third Sunday of September which this year would have been September 20, 2020. This year is not the norm by any means, Due to COVID-19 we have had to make many changes in our lives and accept a new norm to keep everyone safe. We at Holy Rosary want to take proper steps to ensure our Church family is safe when we come together as a community in our parish.... To ensure your safety, the safety of your children and that of the staff and volunteers, we are taking additional steps to clean and disinfect all areas in our building as they are used by multiple groups on a regular basis. We have invested and received donations of sanitizers, and cleaning products, we are further investing in disinfecting equipment and have added extra cleaning steps to reduce the risk. In order to allow the required time to complete the initial process of disinfecting the classrooms, our Children's program will now start on Sunday October 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Our parent program will also start in October (date to be provided soon). I will provide more details in the week leading up to the new start up date. Please continue your prayers for our program, parish, community and everyone to remain healthy and safe as we work together to stop the spread. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact us and we will try our best to address them. Stay safe in Christ
