Some days don’t you wish you could just file away everything you didn’t want to look at? In this kitchen an appliance garage hides a dark corner and all those unsightly, but regularly used countertop appliances. A practical solution tailored to our client!

We’ve long dreamt for a theatre in @explorefenelonfalls - it turns out with a lot work dreams do come true. With a lot of help and partnerships, Tim has built an outdoor amphitheatre! It started with an #ontariotrilliumfoundation grant, @youngsconst cleared the site and worked his magic grading it to perfection and then your very own @homebytimchris built the staging and decks. The site is spectacular and the horticultural society has ensured there are enough plantings that the forest atmosphere will only grow! The @grovetheatre will be ready for you to come see a show next summer! Check them out, tickets are on sale now.

Sometimes the light is just right!

This beautiful (and really old) space got a makeover this year. Sanded floors, whitewashed walls and and @farrowandball Green Smoke kitchen. We felt cool just being able to help with this space!

Another day, another bar. This one hidden in plain sight next to the ice and with custom sized drawers to fit the bar ware and tonics perfectly. Simple and purposeful. We used @farrowandball Vert de Terre and a contrasting walnut shelf to display the generations of service ware. As usual @myohstudio provided us the beautiful cabinet bling.

We spend a lot of time putting together visuals to help a client picture a house design, but nothing beats staking out the footprint and seeing the views in real life. Can’t wait for everyone to see the house that will have these views!

We did a photo shoot with @docksidepublishing and can’t wait to repeat this setup. Who wouldn’t want to eat here!?

Who can imagine the parties that will be had in this family cottage kitchen! So many wonderful books and crannies for displaying family heirloom pieces and some great artwork!

Happy Monday!!! Hope everyone had an awesome weekend! Most weekends you can find us up to something adventurous like sailing on our catamaran, hiking or biking. Hudson has to join for everything and still thinks he’s a lapdog!

This kitchen is a stunner! It looks pretty straight forward but was anything but. Our clients are quite contemporary in their style (it’s impeccable) and we had to be purposeful in every detail. The red oak cabinet fronts are a contemporary version of a shaker (we designed these with our cabinet maker) and the legs are angled just so to make the cabinets feel more like furniture. The shelving was intended to hold a well curated collection of bowls and accessories and make... the kitchen feel more open. The backsplash a contemporary subway tile stacked that took some time to find. Our clients have become great friends and after many visits to our office had to have a @miele_com coffee maker like ours! The hardest part of this redesign was using existing appliances and then blending new flooring under the cabinetry which didn’t have flooring underneath (we had to do this twice at the fridge after the water line broke ). In the end it’s all put together to feel a little industrial, nicely contemporary and not too perfect. See more
