As I am sure you are aware, the Province announced some stronger public health measures in an effort to protect the health system and slow the spread of COVID-19. The current situation has been deemed critical. In consideration of that, we would like to advise you on the following: WORK ORDERS / REPAIRS -Effective immediately all non-urgent repair requests are being suspended until further notice. We will continue to address all urgent repair requests (i.e. flood, no heat,... etc.). -There are no changes to the after hour emergency maintenance process at this time. So continue to call us at (780) 474 5706 should you require emergency repairs after 4:30 p.m. -We ask that you do not flush kleenex, wipes, paper towels, etc. Only toilet paper is designed to break apart. Everything else is not plumbing friendly. -If you are uncertain about the severity of your maintenance concern, please contact your Site Manager directly for clarification. When our maintenance staff are responding to your unit to conduct an essential repair, we would prefer that you not be at home. If this is not possible due to self-isolation or any other reason, we require all occupants of the unit to be in a separate and closed room as the repair work is being performed. This is not negotiable. This precaution is being undertaken to protect both our tenants and staff. Failure to comply will result in the repair not being conducted. LEASE RENEWALS Lease renewals are still proceeding as normal. We ask that you contact your Site Manager directly for information on how to do that. VISITORS You are also likely aware that the Province announced that indoor and outdoor social gatherings (public and private) are now prohibited. - Close contacts are limited to household members only. People who live alone can have up to 2 close contacts: - must be the same two contacts throughout the duration of the restriction - if the close contacts do not live alone, visits cannot be held at their home - single parents who only live with their children under 18 are permitted to have up to 2 close contacts Note: This does not apply to: *co-parenting arrangements *service visits from caregivers, health or childcare providers *home maintenance and repairs *mutual support group meetings We are committed to the service of our homeEd resident communities and encourage you to contact your Site Manager with any concerns or questions you may have. We are here to help. Stay well! homeEd

At homeEd, our staff, tenants, and visitors’ well-being continues to be a top priority given the current COVID-19 pandemic. As you are undoubtedly aware, the Province announced a state of public health emergency and additional enhanced public health measures yesterday. Accordingly, we would like to advise you of the following update(s) and action(s) to demonstrate our on-going commitment to everyone's general wellness on our premises: Common Areas:... We’ve noticed that social distancing and mask usage protocols are the norm at our sites! We wanted to thank you for that and let you know that we at homeEd sincerely appreciate your ongoing commitment to your community’s health and well-being during these difficult times. Maintenance Update: - homeEd’s maintenance team continues to respond to all tenant work orders in priority order. - Our preference is that you are not home when our staff or contractors are conducting repairs in your unit; however, we understand that isn’t always possible. - In cases that you need to be home, please ensure you and your family wear a mask and that you are socially distanced (6 feet) from those who are conducting repairs. For full information concerning the state of emergency (including limits to household visitations) and the enhanced public health measures, please go to www.alberta.ca/covid19. Feel free to reach out to your Site Manager or our Head Office if you have any questions about this notification.

We all need a place to call home. Our home provides us with the foundation for our lives and our livelihood; it allows us to become and remained employed, raise a family, and build healthy relationships with ourselves, our neighbours, and the broader community. We at homeEd believe that safe, adequate, and affordable housing is directly linked to improved physical and mental health. Housing is fundamental to individuals, families, and communities' physical, economic, and social well-being. Sunday, November 22, is #NationalHousingDay, and homeEd is proud to be working with the City and fellow housing organizations to ensure that everyone has a place to call home.
