Last post i had said that the Shemitah could be a blessing or a judgement. So I will start with the Shemitah of 1948/49 they run roughly from September of one year to September of the next. This was when Israel was recognized as an Independent nation for the first time since 70 AD when the Israelites were driven into exile. The next one I am going to look at is 1967/68 it was in this time period that Israel was involved in the six day war which they won against insurmountable... odds truly an act of God. Also in this war they captured the Holy city of Jerusalem the first time since 70 AD that it was back in Israeli hands. Now we will fast forward to the Shemitah of 2000/01 what happened then was the fall of the twin towers in New York city and a colossal stock market crash on the last day of the Shemitah year. The next Shemitah 2007/08 the housing bubble burst in the US and another crash of the stock market on the last day of the year. Now that brings us to the current Shemitah year 2014/15 which I will leave for the next post as it will take up the whole post. See more

Okay have been away for quite some time so better get going and say everything that I have to say before time runs out. This post is going to be on the Shemitah what it is and when it started. The first mention of the Shemitah is in Genesis 41 when the Pharoah had a dream and Joseph interpreted it for him. The dream was the Pharoah saw seven fat cows come out of the river followed by seven scrawny sickly cows. Now the seven cows were interpreted as seven years a Shemitah. A S...hemitah can come as a blessing "the seven fat cows" or judgement " the seven sickly cows". Also God told the Israelites that they were to keep the seventh year a Sabbath which they were not to plant their fields or prune their vineyards. They were to leave their fields fallow and let the poor take what ever may grow there. Now the seventh is now known as the Shemitah year. Also on the very last day of the Shemitah Elul 29 as it is on the Jewish calendar [Gods calendar] they were to release all debts owed to them. Now the remaining blood moons. The eclipse of the sun is to occur on March 20 2015. The next blood moon is to occur April 4 2015 Passover again and the last is to occur on September 28, 2015 Feast of Tabernacles again. Now we are going to go back in time to see how the tetrad's have affected the Jewish people in the past. The blood moons of '67 - '68 was marked by the 6 day war which Israel won against all odds. God to show it was His mighty power that won the war totally sur...rounded Israel by 7 Arab nations with approximately 465,000 enemy troops, more than 2,800 tanks and 800 aircraft. Back further to the tetrad of 1949 - 50 what was happening to the Jewish then? It was in 1948 that Israel became a self governing country again for the first time since Titus drove them into exile in AD70. WOW it seems like God is using the sun, moon and stars as his billboard in the sky. With everything that is going on in the world today I am keeping my eye on the sky and always praying for Jesus to take the steering wheel of my life every day.
