HOMELAND AUTO SERVICE WANTS TO BUY YOU DINNER!!! This has been an incredibly tough year on a lot of small businesses, especially those in the restaurant business. I would like to try and help these local restaurants out by putting an offer out to my customers. If you or anyone that you know requires a brake job in the month of February, and you bring me a receipt from a local restaurant (Simcoe County) that has a date from Feb1st to Feb28th 2021, I will discount the required ...brake job by the amount of the restaurant receipt up to a maximum of $60. Plus everyone that likes and shares this post will be eligible for a FREE Oil Change that I will draw for at the end of the month. Share this with restaurant owners and people you know that work in the industry. Let's try and help out small businesses. Restriction may apply. No cash value. #shoplocal #smallbusiness #helpsmallbusinesses #besafe #inthistogether Thank you all, Sam. Homeland Auto Service. As always I can be reached at (705)719-7441 or (705)516-7441 See more

Wow, what a crazy year this has been for all of us. I hope everyone and your families are all safe and well. I am a little late this year for posting my holiday schedule as I was uncertain of what I was going to do. I think we could all use a break this year so I have decided to take mine over the Christmas break. I will be closed from Dec 24th and reopened on Jan 4th 2021. If you need any repairs done before that please give me a call soon. Thanks to everyone that has been to the new shop this year and I hope you have all enjoyed the new location as much as I have. Without all of your support, this would never have happened. I want to wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and Merry Christmas!! Here is to a much brighter new year. See you all soon!!! Sam. So this beautiful young lady that I know very well needed an oil change today. She wanted to come in yesterday but she was extremely tired so she asked if I could do it today instead. Of coarse I said no problem. This woman was so tired because she is a nurse at South Lake, a single mom of a the sweetest 9 year old that I have ever met, has a house that she takes care of but needed some help with her car to make sure she could get back and fourth to work without having to wor...ry about that as well. I know I posted that I would not be picking up or dropping off vehicles for the next little while, but in this cases I felt obligated. This incredible person, that has been through so much in the last few weeks, was concerned for my safety and did not want to risk my customers. So I did her oil change, balanced her tires for her because I felt a bit of a vibration when I took it to the shop, and gave it a look over just to make sure that it would be safe for her. I finished the job and took her car back to her. I took the precautions that I needed to take by wiping her car down with Lysol wipes, and wore latex gloves. And I was still wearing them when I knocked on her door. I told her everything that I did and she was thankful. This is when it gets amazing. I handed her the keys, and tried to give her back the money she had given me to do the job. That is when she said no way. She would have none of it what so ever. She said that I am a small business owner and that this crisis was going to affect me financially. Who does this? Who risks their own lives and their families lives to help fight a fight they can’t see? I just wanted to try and help her feel appreciated for what she does for all of us, and her concern was my business!! The truth of the matter is this. This beautiful, outstanding, concerned human being is my sister!! We talked a little about what was going on and she started to cry as so did I, and it broke my heart that I could not hug her or my niece because of this situation but that is the true reality. I told her that I loved her and to take care of herself in hopes that my little sister can make it through this safely as she does the unthinkable to keep us safe. Shelley Moore Thank you, your colleagues, and every other frontline personal that is doing their best, and risking everything to help complete strangers. You are all my hero’s!!! To all of my valued customers. I would like to take a minute of your time to talk about what I am planning to do for the next little while because of the COVID-19 situation. As always your safety and the safety of my family is my biggest concern and priority. After some serious consideration I Homeland Auto Service have decided to take the following action effective immediately, 1) We will remain open but on appointment based schedule only. What this means is if you require... any repairs on your vehicle please call me first to set up an appointment. If I have no appointments booked I will be leaving the shop to be at home. I will however bring the shop phone home with me so I can answer any calls from you and make appointments. Please try to refrain from calling after 5pm as that is my family time. 2) For the safety of everyone I am asking everyone that does require any repairs to arrange to be picked up from the shop when you drop your vehicle off and dropped of when your vehicle is ready. I would like to avoid having customers waiting in the shop for their vehicles to be repaired. 3) For the time being I will not be offering to shuttle customers or pick up or drop off vehicles. I apologize if this causes any inconvenience for anyone, but with what is going on I believe these measures must be taken. I hope you all understand and I hope you are all being safe. Thank you. Sincerely, Sam. See more
