On August 22, 2020, the Hygiene for Homeless Toronto executive team took part in their first-ever kit delivery mission. With the help of our donors, we assembled kits which consisted of essential hygiene products such as toothpastes and toothbrushes, deodorants, soaps, and more. Upon completion, the executive team distributed these kits to the kind residents of the Toronto Community housing compound on Finch Avenue. It was truly heartwarming for us to see the impact our team ...was able to make on the lives of so many people in the community. The reaction we received from the people was beyond humbling. Though we were simply giving out hygiene kits, the people viewed this gesture as a sign of hope and promise. To kickoff 2020, the Hygiene for Homeless Canada executive team held another successful delivery yesterday afternoon in the Downtown Eastside. We distributed more than 250 hygiene kits including soap, shampoo, and other hygiene supplies, to those who were in need. This could not have been done without our sponsor, the Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver, who donated extra supplies to us that would have otherwise remained unused. The executive team is looking forwards to hosting mor...e deliveries, and encourages like-minded students eager to make a change in our society to join our action and increase hope for the homeless through our hygiene kits. As the summer is quickly coming to an end, the Hygiene for the Homeless Canada team hosted another successful delivery, distributing more than 250 hygiene kits to those who are in need in Downtown Eastside. We would like to thank our sponsors, Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver and Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, for donating boxes of hygiene products and toiletries and making the delivery possible. Hey everyone! With a few extra weeks left of a wonderful summer break, it’s time to give back to the community again! We are organizing another major hygiene kit delivery event on Saturday August 17th @ 2:00pm. The meeting place will be at waterfront skytrain station, and we will be handing out kits in the general surrounding area. The event will start at 2:00 and last until 4:30pm, with your volunteer hours being signed accordingly. ... As this is our last event before summer ends, we encourage you to participate and devote your time to helping the less privileged in our society.
