She called her recipe 'Nanaimo Bars'. She won the contest, and her "Nanaimo Bars" eventually became popula...r throughout Canada, as did the town they were named after. These bars are made with a graham cracker crust, with a custard buttercream topped with melted chocolate. It’s a delicacy and a wonderful dessert for any occasion.
