Scary things that are in this basement. The brick wall is a support wall. Someone has decided to open it up to make a window. With no added support. The wall is bowing in at the base and I’m sure if I kicked it it would completely fall in. The last picture is what not to do when running plumbing. Do not cut the entire support joist to run your plumbing !!!

So I was doing a home inspection yesterday. Probably the most interesting inspection I have done yet. To start as we stood under the front porch there were animals scurrying in the roof. Interesting. Than when I tried to remove the electric panel cover a large spark shot out from the panel and the panel started smoking as I tried to turn the first screw. So happy to have insulated screw drivers. Two minutes later another spark went off from the panel. I was well away from i...t at that point. Wow. Later I went to look in to the bathroom only to see a leak in the ceiling with active water pouring into the bathroom fan and then straight into the receptacle. Lastly. When going to have a look into the attic I always knock before entering. Why you ask ? I don’t want to surprise any critters. So I knocked and heard a loud kind of squeal / growl. I knocked again and heard he same. Third knock and no noise. So after the forth knock I went up. Didn’t get attacked. Lol. What a day !!!!!
