~BARBERSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT~ Hone & Strop is officially moving to the Okanagan. We will be closing our shop in Port Alberni by the end of May, 2021. Due to life circumstances, Danielle and I have made the difficult decision to move our family and business. We make this announcement with sadness to be leaving this town, family, friends, and clients, but also excitement for a new adventure for us.... Cloud City Apparel will be staying in the same location on 3rd Ave. We have truly enjoyed sharing a space with them as businesses and also as family. Dustin, Janine, Nick, and Jamie, you will be missed! Our all-star employee, Trish, will be staying in town and will be announcing her next location soon! She's your girl! Trish, we don't know if we ever told you this, but you were an answer to our prayers. You have been there for us through some of our hardest days. We will miss you! We know that this announcement will come as a surprise. We love this community and our incredible clients, and the shop is still doing well considering these restrictive times, but life is leading us in a new direction. We've felt nothing but support and care in Port Alberni and will always speak highly of this beautiful valley we're leaving behind. When we opened our doors 7 years ago, we put everything we had into it. We counted on each and every haircut to make it work for us. Our biggest fear was that we would have a day where nobody would come through the doors at all, and that never happened. Shop Update November 20: Following the new provincial recommendations, masks are now required for both our barbershop and Cloud City clothing store. Please also use the sanitizer provided at the door or use your own as you enter the store. It's especially important as we share a space for everyone to be on board with us here, so that we can remain open as long as possible. Please remember to support local this Christmas season, as difficult as it may be, it's now more important than ever! Keep your chin up PA! We got this!

**Barbershop Update** In an effort to accommodate space for our long term clients, we are no longer accepting NEW clients under the age of 5, beginning Monday, October 19th. Thank you for your understanding. H&S

So, as some of you may have heard, my dad passed away in a tragic car accident this past Thursday. I'm now with my mom and my family up in Fraser Lake in order to remember an incredible man that I work hard to emulate daily. He was a loving, encouraging man of faith who brought a breath of fresh air into this world. At this point I will be away from the shop until further notice. We are so incredibly thankful for Trish who will be keeping the shop rolling and taking care of as many people as she's able to in the meantime. Much love, Garrett

**Heads up to our valued clients** After much discussion we have decided to increase our prices by 1$ on all haircuts and 5$ per colour service to help offset increasing business expenses. These prices will come into effect beginning July 1, 2020. We're always thankful for our amazing clients and raising prices is never easy but we appreciate everyone's continued support!
