I whipped up a fresh batch of power balls today! They are so easy to make, and are a great pre-workout snack, or midday energy boost. Simply combine dates, any type of nuts, seeds, nut butters, dried fruit, coconut oil, and your favourite flavourings, into a food processor. Whiz it up until it forms a doughy consistency, then roll into balls! Store in the fridge or freeze them for later. These power balls were flavoured with raw cacao (rich in magnesium!) Sea salt, vanilla, and rolled in coconut! The dates provide instant energy from glucose, (plus lots of fibre!) While the nuts, seeds, and coconut oil provide slow-release, sustainable energy from protein and fats. They also satisfy a sweet tooth! #powerballs #energy #holistic #nutrition #goodfats
