Today is the International Day of People with Disabilities, and it's a very important day to recognize. . The Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities is an international human rights treaty of the United Nations intended to protect the rights and dignity of people with disabilities. . But it takes more than legislation to ensure the lives of people living with disabilities are recognized and provided all of the luxuries that able bodies folks have. It takes educ...ation, empathy and access to basic social supports (which are often shockingly limited). . I provide yoga for all levels, but I know I would be an even better yoga teacher if I expanded my knowledge on Chair Yoga and other forms of yoga that are more accessible to people with physical disabilities or limitations.
