. Wusong breaks free from the manacles form. Super rare form that you don’t see often.... This form was based off of a old chinese folk story in the novel. Water Margin (). Where Wusong a hero that was captured, but succeeded to defeat his capturers despite being manacled. Wusong was also referenced as the Tiger Hunter ( The form emphasizes in kicks, elbows and hips strike until he is able to break free from the manacles. Legacy Lives On For those who don’t know. Hong Luck Kung Fu Club was founded by 13 original members in 1961- each having their own unique skills in traditional kung fu brought from their hometown and villages from mainly Taishan(Toisan) China.... There were 2 main figures that stood out from the 13. One was Sifu Paul Chan and the other was Sifu Gin(Jim) Chan. Both highly skilled in short-bridge Choy Lee Fut. Which is extremely rare and unique because Choy Lee Fut is generally known to be a Long Range and Big Stance type of style. Both Sifu’s have their own unique personalities Sifu Paul was more energetic and extroverted, while Sifu Gin Chan was more laid back and humble/quiet. So humble and laid back to the point where when we performed a lion dance at his grand daughter’s wedding. Apparently, he’d never told his grand children’s that he knew any kung fu better yet was a kung fu grand master of Canada’s oldest kung fu school. (take that for being humble!) Sifu Paul and Sifu Gin was the perfect duo. Textbook definition of Ying and Yang. Today would mark the 4th year since Sifu Gin had passed Those who had the privilege to learn under him, knows what an honour to be taught by a such great man. Everyone here at Hong Luck misses both Sifu Gin and Sifu Paul greatly. To you both, Rest in peace knowing that the teachings and lovable memories that both of you guys brought to us, lives on.
