Happy Thanksgiving! It sure looks a lot different this year with Covid-19, but I’m still grateful for many things. I’ll be celebrating with a virtual family get-together on Zoom this weekend. Hopefully they can help me name this latest creation!
A little sneak peak at my latest rugloving these vibrant pinks!
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Let the owls out? Developing new rugs is a much needed creative release during these difficult days. This time last year my daughter and I were hard at work in our kitchens testing out tasty recipes to prepare for the Fibre Arts Festival. I wish we were able to do the same this year. The silver lining? There will be twice as many new rugs and snacks for the festival next year! In the meantime, I hope you are staying safe and working on your own projects!
While COVID-19 has unfortunately cancelled the Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival this year, rug and soutache production is still ongoing in preparation for next year! What have you been working on lately? Would love to see!
Do you see your handiwork in this rug? Thanks to all who practiced hooking on this demonstration rug at the Rug Hooking and Soutache Display in October (as well as the recent snowstorm!), Hanka was able to finish it this weekend. This time she went a bit more colourful and whimsical! She even tolerated our dad puns... worth at least a buck buck or two .
