Added more cell phone pockets to the website!! These are plain ones, and built out of very heavy leather. The dark brown is a bridle leather, and the brown one is a latigo leather. These are super beefy, and very sturdy. Only one set of ties on these pockets. Shop here:... https://hooligandesigns.ca/collections/cell-phone-pocket I have some carved ones, but they won't be ready until next week. Stay tuned for them!

I'm so excited to offer a new product!! Cell Phone Pockets! https://hooligandesigns.ca/collections/cell-phone-pocket A new style of cell phone pocket - with NO hardware!... These cell phone pockets are made of medium weight veg tan leather, front and back. They have a soft chap leather gusset, to offer flex and will help your phone stay secure. These pockets measure 4" across, 7" tall (adjustable), and 1" deep. They will fit a wide variety of cell phones, including cases. When you get your pocket, the fit might be a bit snug - that's okay! Leather will stretch slightly over time (just like your boots), and having it a little snug at first will mean it will fit that much better later on. The great idea behind these pockets is the closing mechanism. To open the pocket, simply lift the flap, and the long latigo string will slide up. There is a reverse knot in the end of the string, so it won't pull all the way through the slot. Slide your phone in from the side, and pull the string all the way back down. Done! No buckles or conchos to fuss with and worry about breaking. With this way of fastening, you never have to worry about your phone falling out when you lope, when your horse shakes. To attach the pocket to your saddle, there are 2 options (or more). The pockets have a sleeve on the backside, for your rear cinch billet to slide through. The strings on the top will allow you to tie the pocket to your rear rigging dee. The second option would be to tie it to your breastcollar dee. The top string allows you to attach the top section, and the bottom string allows you to tie it to your front rigging dee, if you want more stability. Tying a square knot will ensure a secure hold. Being tied to your saddle will help you feel secure that your pocket isn't going anywhere. These are nice heavy strings, and will stay tied as long as you tie a proper knot. I personally tie my pocket to my front dee, which makes my phone easily accessible for photo taking, which lets be honest, I'm always taking photos when we're out riding. Super handy! If you don't need your phone so accessible, the rear cinch option is a great choice! These can be personalized with brands, initials, specific designs including flowers or anything you can dream up! Shoot me an email and we can talk about what I can build for you!
I'll admit, I have some of the coolest customers having me build some of the coolest sh*t Love these unique and different ideas you guys come up with. Thanks for letting me love my job!

And a close second were those super gross strawberry ones, with the gushy centers. ... What about you? What made you wanna

Beautiful set, for one of my favorite repeat customers. I can always count on this gal to have fantastic ideas, and help me work outside the box. I feel like repeat customers are a testament to my work. There are so many choices out there for quality, custom tack makers, it makes me proud to know I have a list of customers who keep coming back for my work. Thank you to all my repeat customers!
slings and knife sheaths make for a fun Friday!
Couple more belts I shipped off... The dark brown one is all sunflowers, with turquoise buckstitch. So pretty! The 2 toned belt is floral carved, with initials (blocked out). Very classy!
Whole lotta turquoise going on up in here! This set should be wrapped up today. Photos later?
So that special horse hair I was talking about yesterday? I inlaid it into a belt. Turned out super nice, I was a bit worried, as this was my first horse hair/belt project. But it went easier than I thought. Way more messier - horse hair everywhere Such a great way to remember those horses we'll never forget. Thank you to my customer for trusting me with such a special piece ... (Please remember I'm booked full for Christmas. I'm booking into January for a late February delivery)
Tail hair from a very special horse stay tuned to see what will transpire... What are some momentos you've had done with horse hair?
Been developing a split ear design over these last few weeks. Had to tweak my design a few times, making sure there's no pinchy points, no rub points, and the balance is good. Will be offering these for sale next week. Some will be a bit shorter, for those smaller horse heads. If you'd like to add a super nice, split ear headstall to your collection, look me up ... #splitearheadstall
