Here’s a slate floor I did a couple months ago. We needed access to the crawl space so we made a tiled hatch cover in the mechanical room.
The clients weren’t sure if they wanted an electrical box here or not so I gave them a temporary option.
Here’s a real stone veneer fireplace I worked on in Spring of 2018. The mantle I installed is also stone from K2 Stone. I did some work on the exterior at a beautiful location in the Kootenay’s. One day I came around a corner and surprised a cougar! She quickly ran to the trees where we snapped a pic and then hazed her.
As we move away from summer and into tiling season Ill do my best to post some pics of bathrooms and backsplashes. Heres a shower and kitchen done with 12 subway tile. I like it when clients choose to install a leg shaving bench in their shower.

The Nelson Izu-Shi Friendship Society asked me to create this set of steps with local granite to improve safe access to the view of Cottonwood Falls. Cam Stewart worked with me to install them and together we moved the stones into place by hand.

This is a master bath laid with marble. The angled ceiling was a bit of a challenge to lay. We used the same tile on the fireplace hearth with a chevron mosaic. The kitchen backsplash is scalloped glass tile. The challenge with laying this is that there are no right angles to reference when it is time to cut the tile.
Although I do work Allan Block projects it is only for clients who ask me to do projects like this stone faced fireplace.
I worked on this Allan Block project this spring. The owners and myself came up with the design. The stair landings and treads are inlaid with paving stones.
I recently returned home from Whistler Mountain. I was fortunate enough for AXIS Mountain Technical to contract me to do some stone masonry on the highest suspension bridge in North America. It was one of the best projects Ive ever worked on. The crew was top notch and the experience was 100% positive. Therell be more pics to come.
We are hiring experienced masons for the season. Wages based on experience and production. Please private message us here or email [email protected]
This fireplace is faced with natural cut stone from K2, a stone supplier based in Kelowna. The pattern is random ashlar with 22.5 degree mitred corners.
If your gas fireplace is made by "Security" please read this warning. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1082836988491326&id=202260816548952

Seeking masons with stone veneer experience. Project underway in Revelstoke BC, accommodation provided. Pls contact for more info.
Layed this up last week and finished up this week.
This is the first part of the project which I worked on earlier this summer. The clients, Ed and Linda, were great to work with.
Layed the caps on Friday and started the stone yesterday. What a beautiful spot to work.
Alpine Ledgestone on the front entranceway. The colour of the door couldn't match the stone better.
Just finished capping these pillars. What a beautiful backyard.
Any suggestions for a good clever or catchy slogan for Hoover Masonry? Please remember this is our business site though so as much as we don't want to censor anyone's creativity (and we know some of you are verry creative) pls keep it clean! :)
