Sweet Dreams are made of this who am I to disagree? Here are some inspiration photos from our recently completed Design Project in the Distillery District to warm you up on this cold blustery day. I know I thought about crawling back into bed this morning when I saw all that snow how about you?

Vignettes An amazing vignette can literally make me stop what I’m doing to marvel at its pure simplicity but also make me shake my head wondering why didn’t I think of that It’s all about the accents, the little decorative touches and the details. Vignettes can be quite simple or they can be complicated ... A basic design rule of thumb is to design in 3’s meaning find interesting decorative pieces that you would like to use in your vignette but remember to group them in a set of three Another good tip is to choose objects of various heights to give your vignette some height and depth I would also suggest you try to use various materials to keep things interesting for example, glass or ceramic decorative items as well as metal pieces, then possibly something wood to add a natural element Remember in design there are no hard and fast rules, enjoy have some fun with creating your own vignettes and please post some of your favourites below I would love to see what you’ve been working on After all who doesn’t love a great vignette!
