Finding time in our busy schedules to go out and enjoy nature can be dicult in the best of weather. But in winter, the challenge becomes even greater: it’s colder, roads and parks may be full of snow and ice, and, as it gets dark earlier, there’s simply not as much time in the day. Given that we could all benefit from spending more time outside this winter, it helps to have some fun winter activities on hand for those days when you’d rather curl up with a blanket and a coff...ee. Here are some of our best suggestions for a variety of fitness and mobility levels: - skating on an outdoor rink - cross-country skiing - downhill skiing - tobogganing (kids not required) - build a snowman - plan a neighbourhood scavenger hunt (look for a blue garage door, a snowman, holiday decorations, etc.) What are your favourite ways to spend time outdoors in the winter?
