Hope Music Therapy

Helping children with music therapy at the Stollery Children's Hospital is a beautiful thing and I’m so amazed to see progress everyday, right in front of my eyes. Musical interaction is so helpful in hospitals as children are able to have a break from their surroundings and focus on something else. It gives children an opportunity to step out of the role of patient, where things can be chaotic and confusing to the role of a playful child where they can experience meaningful and comforting moments. (Bonde, 2011; Sanfi & Bonde, 2014).

Happy Easter!! Easter is a time of hope and renewal. Let’s take a moment this weekend to reflect and meditate on what we can look forward to and also identify a few things we are grateful for.
