We are excited to return to the Minden, Ontario SG Nesbitt Memorial arena project with McDonald Brothers Construction this coming Monday! We are nearing completion of our portion of the work which included nearly 35,000 Concrete Masonry Units (Elevator Shaft, Load Bearing and Non Load Bearing Walls, Change Rooms, Mechanical Rooms and Bleacher Supports) and all of the beautiful Interior and Exterior Stone Cladding. Our crews led by our top notch Block Foreman, Ron, and Rick and Jason Hopper are excited to see their hard work complete in the coming days.

When it comes to Masonry, we do it all and our Commercial Brick Crew is hard at work.

This is the new normal during #covid19. 6000lb of payload on the truck, getting supplies to site 2 skids at a time. In normal times we would have deliveries of 28 skids at a time. Our friends at the building supplies are mostly closed but we are incredibly grateful that our deep base of relationships in the area ensure that we can meet the owners and pickup what we need. Incredibly grateful to our staff for being flexible and creative each day and showing up to work, working together on social distancing and site safety and remaining positive and optimistic.

It’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon to our friends at McDonald Brothers Construction at the Minden, Ontario SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena. We are just a few days work away from completion of our CMU Block and Cladding work and we will be back as soon as it’s safe for industrial construction to reopen. So proud of our crew for all of their hard work and of the staff at McDonald Brothers for amazing management at this site.

To All HSM Staff, As the situation with COVID-19 develops, we find ourselves in a very uncertain time. So far, there has been no order from Provincial or Federal governments directing that construction sites should shut down. Our clients and customers continue to request that we arrive on site and work toward completion of our projects. That being said, our number one priority is the health and safety of our staff. At this point in time, we would like to assure you that we ...support you in any decision that you make regarding work. Should you decide to continue coming to work, we request that you self monitor for symptoms and practise good hand hygiene. Should you decide that it is in the best interest of yourself and your family to self isolate, we will support you in this decision. I have been working closely with our accountant to monitor the options for workers as they navigate through this and I am here to support you. Should you have any questions, concerns or need assistance in any way, please call me directly, during business hours if at all possible, at 705-312-2327. See more
