The last farewell. Goodbye Niagara On The Lake. So long for a while

In January 2020 we closed our B&B...and in February sold our home. But spring 2020 like any spring always brings new life...and the cycle continues as you will see shots of the garden from the summer of 2019. Farewell our many friends. Perhaps there won't be updates in the future

The time has come to say thank you and good bye to all our guests who over the years have helped us grow . In May this year we will move closer to our children and grand children. Since 2004 we have welcomed guests from here in Canada and the rest of the world, who over time and many repeat visits have become friends, met our family and shared memories. The memories are priceless and will always be a part of our life .....The friends we made will remain friends and we will ...keep in touch through the odd phone call, Face time, Texts, MSN, Instagram, Greeting cards and in some instances bump into them some place, somewhere and some time. We wish to thank every one of our guests who have made it possible to make Hoppys B&B what it is. Without their repeated stays, visits and glowing reviews on Google, TA and more, this would not have been possible. Each of you have help make us a success. We loved every minute of this chapter. This was a time we were stuck with a négative connotation as to what were we being trained in. But things paid off

Todays fall breakfast kick start....more like a midsummer treat Refreshngly good. Local watermelon cubes with candied ginger!!

Heres a "Gardeners" hack No names as to who did what to the vine.....Its almost Sep and the clematis is still in full bloom from early June. . one time in late... July a bettrr part of the vine was cut. 4 inches off the ground.and the vine vilted and died. But soon started to sprout new shoots. Then it produced buds in Aug and by late Aug.a flush of flowers appeared.... may be til mid Sep we will have blooms....will try this accidental pruning next year again and start a trend..will keep u updated. Way 2. Go .....brewed-right here at Niagara college, with ontario Hops. And un-American wheat. And served bone chilling cold @ Hoppysbandb....any more patriotic and we will be in trouble eh!!
