It's funny, when I was younger and had a lot of time ahead of me,I rushed through everything. I thought I knew so much and I would see how much I could make my ...horses do in the least amount of time,taking everything I could get and then ask for more. Whatever that horse would do was about me and my glory,whatever they fell short at was some deficiency in them,certainly not me. I cared more about what people thought of me then what my horses thought of me. Now that I'm older and realize my time is limited and I don't know half of what I thought I knew. Now for some reason I take my time, there is no rush, I can wait till my horses freely offer to me their truth when set up well. I realize that if I'm not getting the answers I want I'm not asking the questions well. I understand now that the horses first reaction to something is the truth for that horse and if we don't like that reaction we have to work from their perspective at that point. We can make them lie to us, much the way an crafty interrogator can get people to confess to something they didn't do, we just wear them down to were they will just start throwing the answers they think we want. I have found that riding for the horse instead of myself has become the most rewarding and satisfying time in my horsemanship journey . I certainly wish I had not wasted so much time training horses and more time training myself to see the horse and what they were offering me. To learn how to use what they offer to be together and do things together in harmony , instead of just making them work for me. Maybe it's just part of the process that everyone go's through when they have a passion for something. We just have to ride where we are at until until our eye's open and we truly start to see, our hearts open and we really start to feel and we put the horses needs above our own personal goals and desires. I guess what I'm trying to say in a long winded way is , ride for the horse and they will take you farther then you ever thought possible. Sunday morning mind wanderings and refections

Hello everyone it has been forever since my last post .But just to update you .I am putting together clinics for this upcoming year .and will post the tenitive dates by the end of Feb. At this time though I'm just wanting to let persons interested in lessons be they private or group lessons, that I will be in Strathmore area for the month of Feb. Plans ourin the works for Pincher Creek area in march if all works out. So if you live in these areas or an hour or from them.I would love to hear from you and maybe we can get together.Hopeing this message finds everyone in good health as we now are almost through the first month of 2016 .
