Here is an update from the Horseshoe Saskatchewan Executive regarding horseshoe pitching for 2020. ____________________________________________________________________________________ June 19, 2020... We are regrettably writing to inform you that after much deliberation we are going to be cancelling the 2020 horseshoe Season. We have been closely monitoring the Reopen Saskatchewan Plan, as of June 22, Phase 4.1 we are able to continue practising and League play. Under phase 4.1 we are not allowed to hold tournaments where our members can travel to play against each other. We are able to play in our own clubs against each other as long as we social distance 6 ft and practise good hygiene. We must either wash our hands or if that is not an option you must use hand sanitizer, there can be no handshakes, high fives or any physical contact with another player. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact one of the executives or reply to this email. All club play requires a waiver to be completed which will be emailed tomorrow. Hello Fellow Horseshoe Pitchers, In light of Covid-19 Horseshoe Saskatchewan executive has decided to postpone all HSI Tournaments from May 16 to June 13, 2020 due to Covid-19 and revisit when to start up again around June 15, 2020 or unless we get some great news from the government of Saskatchewan before then. ... Club presidents when you are sending in your membership list, we need the names and the membership fees to be sent to Michelle. Also, when sending in your cheques to Michelle please add the $20 affiliation fee on the cheque, making sure to write in the comment area that you are including your affiliation fee. Clubs it is very important that you send the memberships to Michelle so that we can keep our records straight and accurate. Membership list must contain members name, full mailing address, phone number, and birth date. It would be appreciated if members would supply their email address in case, we need to contact them. In the coming days Dale will be sending out the raffle tickets to club presidents to send to their members. We would appreciate if every member tries to sell as many raffle books as possible, we are still required to do fundraising even in these difficult times. Sorry for the news about the postponing of the start of the season but we will also keep you informed of any new updates like email in tournaments or other ideas that we hear of. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Wendy Squires President HSI
