Sarah and her story are from the UK. May she rest in peace This week I have had the opportunity to talk to a few women about there experiences walking. ... That sounds like an abrupt unfinished sentence but it is all that simple. Walking. Walking home, walking to the grocery store. The story all too often does NOT go I was walking in a dark alley. Women are already taught to go over on there fingers all the things they should or shouldn’t do when going for a walk. What time of day is it? Where am I walking alone? Is my cell phone battery charged? Who do I let know where i’m going? Are my shorts long enough? Do I bring a weapon? Can I run in these shoes? I have run from men. My friends have run from men. Men who have the audacity to chase you. Men who we weren’t caught by. Chasing a women does not come with good intentions. It’s not an isolated incident. This is not a bash against men. Our male friends know we experience this. Just don’t be like them. Say something so others are not like them. It’s not cute to stalk women. PERIOD. Let’s make sure our friends get home safe

Happy International Women’s Day

Somedays it’s a lot of drawing and planning and scrapping and testing and figuring it out and finally it works. Over the last year I have been working on techniques, prints and slabs that hold a special place in my heart. One of them ended up being the snakeskin technique. Something that happened as a beautiful accident that I used to turn the madness into a method. Moving forward the snakeskin pieces may have different names as Snakeskin is the technique- this will now be PYTHON PEARL
