Somebody came all the way from Guelph to pick this up off my rickety porch bench, so I made sure I put whiskey in it. It's super busy in here, with orders and holiday prep and trying to stay away from people despite being brutally tired of all this, but pickup orders for sewn goods and/or Tiny Kitchen stuff are still open by negotiation until Dec 20 (porch pickup and E-transfer only, on account of pandemic weather). After that, I'm taking a second to make less of a mess around here. My husband thanks you in advance.
Someone sent me their baby's first preemie onesie, to make this. You put a bow tie on that sort of thing, y'know, to make the occasion.
Friends of the Tiny Kitchen: it's been awhile, so I'll be updating the menu* for the holidays in a few days. Anything you want me to add? (*as always, I will -always- do custom jobs; just tell me what you want and I'll make it.)
Me, and every other small business craftsperson, Nov 1st:
This thanksgiving has been hard-weird for more reasons than I can count, but I want to thank everyone for the orders giving me the impetus to zen out hand-cutting seven dozen leaves out of pastry, and make so much extra pumpkin pie filling that I had to make pumpkin cheesecake too. Love you all. Onward to socially distanced Halloween.
Pro: your bagel game is stepped up enough that you're using up 100% of your sourdough castoffs and winding up with experiments that are tastier than anything you've ever bought in a store. Con: your efforts have turned your 1yo into a bagel monster. She follows you around as you try to have breakfast, squawking like a blue jay, ransoming any hope of peace for all your carbs. That's what you get for putting maple syrup and pecans in bagels, I guess. Hubris.
Barrie friends: Thanksgiving is upon us and it is likely to be the most depressing in recent memory. To fight off the doomies I'm opening up three order slots for Pretty Delicious Pie--apple or pumpkin, your choice. One 9inch $18... OR Four individual standalones $25 Etransfer/Contactless Porch pickup at St Vincent and Cundles. Name your date. Nothing matters, so let's eat.
These finally arrived where they were going so I feel like I can post them know--the world's tiniest, creepiest housewarming gifts.
