Looking for something fun to do with the family on February 15th for Family Day? Come and join us for a free Family Day swim at the Houston Leisure Facility! Due to limited availability, Houston residents can register early starting tomorrow, February 2nd. All other communities can register starting Monday, February 8th. Call us at 845-7420 to book your spot! *Space is limited so booking early is encouraged! **The Fitness Centre sessions will run from 11:00am to 4:00pm and can be booked online or over the phone.

Just as a reminder, the Fitness Centre is closed this coming Sunday, January 31st and Monday, February 1st. We will be back to regular hours on Tuesday. The swimming pool is still open on Sunday!

This week is Family Literacy Week! Take in the beautiful crisp winter weather this week and check out the Storywalk with your familly. You can find the story posted through Steelhead Park. Make sure you take a selfie and tag the Houston Family Resource Centre to be entered into a prize draw.

Unfortunately, the hot tub is still under repairs. The broken part is still at the autobody shop being repaired as there were more leaks then originally assessed. We apologize for any inconvenience and will post again as soon as it is back up and running!

Houston Leisure Facility Holiday Hours in effect December 20-January 2 Happy Holidays!

Unfortunately, the hot tub has sprung a leak and will not be available until the damage can be assessed and repaired. We do expect repair delays being so close to the holidays.

Houston Leisure Facility hours of operation effective December 1st, 2020!

Applications are being accepted until December 17, 2020. These are for three arena attendants responsible for performing general janitorial services and facility monitoring. Fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a future career in facilities!

Unfortunately, all fitness programs continue to be cancelled until further notice. The recreation sector was hopeful to hear from the Provincial Government on steps to enact to get programs re-started early this week, but that has not been the case. We continue to monitor the Provincial Health Order for new updates and information All missed classes will be credited to the participants account

As per the latest Provincial Health Order, masks are now required at all indoor public spaces, including the Houston Leisure facility. Please have masks with you when coming to the facility for all gym and pool appointments. Stay healthy, and stay safe!

Change is coming! The Houston Leisure Facility is excited to announce that starting December 1st, our Fitness Centre will have extended appointment times! Appointments will now run for 75 minutes, Monday to Fridays. We will also be extending our hours during the week with appointment time available from 6:00am-8:45pm every day. There are no changes to the weekend appointments at this time. Please give us a call at 845-7420 with any questions!

The Houston Lesiure Facility will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th for Remembrance Day. We will be back to regular business hours on Thursday.

Boo! We are excited that the candy donation program is continuing for this 2020 spooky season! If you are unable to hand out candy to the little witches and goblins on Halloween: candy or cash donations can be dropped off at the Houston Leisure Facility or Municipal Office. In return, you will receive a poster for your door showing you donated. NEW this year: the Houston Volunteer Fire Dept will be handing out the donated candy bags as they tour the community. Watch for their bright lights and make sure you collect your bag!

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful first week! Our soft opening has gone over better than we expected and we thank everyone who has made it such a success. Please be advised, there is a schedule change and these are the new hours going forward. We are excited to announce that starting next Saturday, October 3rd the fitness centre and swimming pool will now be open on weekends! Swim sessions will run from 11:00am to 1:00pm and again from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Fitness Centre app...ointments will start at 11:00am with the last appointment starting at 4:00pm. Starting Monday, October 5th the swimming pool will be closed to the public, and running on a Tuesday to Sunday schedule. Please call us at 845-7420 with any questions!

The Houston Leisure Facility is excited to announce appointments for the swimming pool are now live and ready to book! Please visit us at the link below to start booking your appointments online. **Please take a moment to read over the information below to familiarize yourself with the new processes in place. Please be patient with the facility and staff when booking or visiting the facility; this is new to all of us and are working hard to make it a fun and enjoyable experi...ence for everyone!** All appointments must be pre-booked online with exception of any families booking together and disability attendants. If you fall into either of these categories or need assistance, please call us at 845-7420. Same day bookings are not available online, please call us. Pre-pay online or over the phone. Priority access will be given to patrons with memberships and pre-paid bookings. Patrons who are unable to pay online or over the phone will be able to pay on site but must call in to book a spot. Availability for these spots is very limited and are on a first come, first serve basis. On the day of your appointment please wait outside or in your vehicle until the lineup is gone and/or the lobby is clear to maintain physical distance.
