Got some new camera equipment over the holidays. Nikon D810, a 28-70 mm 2.8 ED IF lens and battery grip. Awesome camera! Feels great in my hands, comfortable to use, the buttons are in the right places for me and it performs like a supercharged machine. http://en.nikon.ca/nikon-pr/product/dslr-cameras/d810a.html Am now also using Capture One Pro as my Digital Management and image processing software. I have gotten through most of the learning curve and am now using it more like a pro. The image processing quality is the overall best of the bunch. A professional photographer gets paid to create images that illustrate emotions and intentions that move the audience. We hone our skills so that we can accomplish that with whatever subject we are working with, whether creative and beautiful or just technically sound. The bottom line for work is, it's all about the money. There are those times however when you just want to create or capture something beautiful just for the hell of it. That is why most of us got into the busi...ness in the first place, not for the money but to create and capture beauty and interest. I got lured to a night club a little while ago to watch and photograph a friend's daughter sing with her band, on a work night at that. WOW! Did I ever get blown away by her voice! And of course it got me into what I will call "Dances With Cameras", which is where when I am photographing musicians performing, I float around the room like a ballerina, capturing images in sync with the rhythms. (Lots of fun) Definitely a reminder of how I fell in love with photography in the first place. Anyhow, here are a couple images of the performance. Cheers. Hey fb friends, I am on a hunt for mobile credit card payment solution. In Canada we do not have as wide a selection as the USA but there are a few I have read ...about that are available here. (Square, Intuit GoPayment, PAYD and Kudos. Have you used one of there mobile credit card reader services? Which one and what is your experience on it? Thanks, Howard
