We are accepting donations of new or gently used bags, backpacks, and purses filled with day to day essentials to distribute over the holidays. Some suggestions: Lip balm... Toiletries (razors, lotion, hand cream) Body wash, shampoo, conditioner (full sized bottles preferred) Toque, gloves Warm socks Gift cards (groceries, gas) Please drop off your donations to the Squamish (38021 Third Avenue) or Whistler Drop-In Centres (1519 Spring Creek Drive). Don't forget, Pearl's Value & Vintage is a great place to find the perfect bag to fill!

It is really important to us to get the films young people make in our programs out to the world. Sometimes, when these films are shown, youth get 'screening fe...es' from the organization sharing their films. Here, 24 youth recieved $125 each for screening their films with the Canadian Roots Exchange - Échanges Racines Canadiennes ’s Nunavut Day celebration for the films The Love Song, My Culture, Summer Time and Anogi (The Wind). Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. HSWC's friends at WAVAW Rape Crisis Centre have created an excellent resource with a variety of ways to support the Trans community. HSWC provides gender affirming support services to survivors of gender based violence. Support is available 24 hours a day through HSWC's 24 hour crisis line 1-888-890-5711
