April is #BCWineMonth and we're delighted to work with BC Winery @howlingbluff Located on the renowned Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia..., Howling Bluff Estate Winery is a small family-owned estate winery that is the culmination of Luke Smith’s life long passion for great wines. Dedicated to producing small lots of fine wines, Luke and son Daniel are building a legacy, a family winery for their future generations. +890632 2019 SAUVIGNON BLANC/SEMILLON (85%/15%) "...This wine is rich on the palate, with flavours of peach and ripe apples added to the notes of lime and herbs. The finish is lingering. +036123 2019 SAUVIGNON BLANC THREE MILE CREEK This is a complex Graves style white. Sixty percent of the juice was fermented in and aged four months in new French oak puncheons while the remainder was fermented in stainless steel. A small percentage of Semillon in the blend adds complexity. +036117 2016 SUMAS QUIS SIN CERA 95% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot aged 18 months in 25% new, 50% 2nd fill and 25% 3rd fill French oak. On the nose is coffee, chocolate and black cherry, with lingering smoky Tobacco, cherry and black olive flavours. Pair with Prime Rib, game meats and BBQ. +657569 2017 THREE MILE CREEK PINOT NOIR This is a blend of clones 667, 777, 114 & 115. This bold Pinot Noir begins with aromas of ripe plums mingled with hints of forest floor. On the palate, the flavours are dramatic and profound showing notes of cherry and plum with a savoury and earthy note on the finish. +860171 2017 CRONIE FAMILY VINEYARD PINOT NOIR Howling Bluff has become a model BC wine producer, using no pesticides or chemical fungicides and working vigorously to become a net zero energy user by the early 2020s. It’s more impressive when you taste this pinot noir, and in particular, this delicious 2017 CRONIE FAMILY (beach) Vineyard. A "great" news story during the days of Covid-19. Howling Bluff and the smith family are proud to be a very small part of the success!

Winery owner, Luke, is proud to be one of the many UBC alumni who have established themselves in BC's wine industry. As part of this year's Homecoming celebrations, we invite you to join us for a virtual tasting journey of six Okanagan wines, including Howling Bluff's 2018 Three Mile Creek Pinot Noir, that have been crafted by UBC alumni winery owners and winemakers. This event takes place next weekend! Gather your friends and order a mixed wine tasting pack, assembled exclusively for this event. Limited quantities available. Click the link below to register!

Protect my family, staff and clients always: Ashley Syer 2 hours ago We showed up hoping to either do a tasting or at least pick up a couple bottles of Pinot if they couldn’t fit us in. The guy in the wine shop opened the door, asked if we had a reservation (we didn’t), then said you need a reservation! and shut the door on us. It was stunningly rude. I have long been a fan of their wine, but I will never go back.... Howling Bluff Estate Winery (owner) 16 mins ago Hi Ashley thank you for putting voice to what so many of us in this industry and the service industry have been subject to. Your expressed sense of entitlement is exactly the point many of us deal with. You are aware we are in a Pandemic, you are aware we have reservations for a reason, to protect our clients, yet you feel you of all people should be able to come at your time of choosing and demand that we drop our attention to those folks that reserved a time and paid for the safety that we offer by insuring the wine shop never has too many people in it at one time. You also forgot to mention in your "social media call out" that I also told you when you asked to buy wine I said "sorry we are full at the moment". Alas your inability to think of others and what risk you would put those folks inside the tasting room at because you could not wait is emblematic of those folks among us with misplaced self-worth.
