That's wrap! That's right, our 2020/2021 season is over! Is it just me, or did this winter just fly by? We would like to say an extra special thank you to all those who came sledding with us this 2020/2021 winter. We truly appreciate the support of our small, family run business in these uncertain times. Historically our business has been predominantly international, but with boarders closed, Canadians and Albertans really stepped up and showed there support for Alberta Touri...sm. We hope everyone stayed safe this winter, and continues to stay healthy into the summer! We look forward to howling with you next season, in winter 2021/2022. Smiles, from your Howling Dog Team!

Work with our fabulous huskies, and run dogsled tours in the Spray Lake Provincial Park. Experience working with animals or guiding as asset. Must be physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Kennel work involves cleaning, feeding, watering dogs, strawing houses, raking gravel and shovelling snow. The Guide position starts in mid-November, and runs to the end of April. Come Howl With Us!

Here is a good explanation of the types of dogs we adopt from racing kennels. https://iditarod.com/do-many-siberian-huskies-run-the-idit/

Howling Dog Tours has been in operation for 25 years! In June of 1995, we packed up the dogs and moved down from Yellowknife, NWT, after realizing we could turn our hobby into a full time business, and share the thrill of dogsledding with people from all over the world. Although the racing aspect of our kennel has passed, we continue with the mushing lifestyle, and have had the pleasure of working with so many amazing dogs and people. We are looking forward to the next season, even with all the challenges that 2020 has brought us so far. Come howl with us!

As much as we love winter, we are enjoying the beauty of spring around us - the ice is gone from the lakes, the leaves are coming out, and the sun is shining!
