At this meeting we will discuss student learning, assessment, supports and success for the current school yea...r. Why attend School Council: Parents play an important role in student success. School councils allow parents to participate in decisions that impact student learning. Another great kindness story! Students at EGW school were so happy to get their own copy of THE WILD ROBOT that Mrs. Shihinski decided to give them another opportunity to receive a book of their own. Students, staff and the public library were asked to donate gently used books for this kindness project and the response was amazing. Students were able to choose a book during library class. As students looked for their perfect pick, Mrs. Shihinski talked to them about what books they would like to see on the library cart during future classes. A wonderful story of putting more books in students hands and promoting the passion of literacy. #kindnessmatters

Over the last two weeks of school students have been caught be awesome. Students got nominated for acts of kindness, being a great friend, being a leader and always following school expectations, and more. Staff caught students and would nominate them. Students got their names called out over the morning announcements and received a gold EGW collectors pin. We had over 200 nominations! Amazing work Eagles! Check them out in the pictures. On the last day all nominees went into a draw for a prize. Jake from class 5C was the winner of the caught being awesome grande prize. #kindnessmatters

Class 4D took to the outdoors and had an Easter Egg Math hunt. Fun!

The Eagle’s Robotic Team is coming together. Here is a sneak peak of 3 more Eagles who have already passed all the challenges and have made the team. In the new year, we will start preparing the team for their first competition. #GoEagles A big shout out to our coaches Mr. Kamar and Mr. Herbert.

The Great LEGO Building Contest came to an end and we have our winners. Thank you to all the students who participated and made a donation to the food bank.
