There may be a connection between anger and health disease. Scientists don’t agree, but many studies suggest a significant link (webmd.com). Moderate anger many not be the problem, but rather people (both male and female). who seem to experience frequent high levels of anger. Other contributing factors include high levels of anxiety and depression; people who are angry a lot also tend to have other chronic negative emotions as well. With this in mind, counseling and anger ...management classes can help, but you can take more immediate steps as well: When you feel yourself getting angry, try to implement some anger management techniques such as counting to ten, reminding yourself that the other person is doing their best (and isn’t trying to infuriate you) Use coping statements such as: *I can’t accomplish anything by blaming other people, even if they’re responsible for the problem. I’ll try another angle. *Will this matter in 5 years (5 months, 5 hours, 5 minutes) from now? *If I’m still angry tomorrow, I’ll deal with it then. Right now, I’m going to cool off. *Let me ask some questions before giving orders For more information about our programs visit: https://www.cafconnection.ca/Trenton//Health-Promotion.aspx #HealthPromotion8WingCFBTrenton
