NEW - CEWS Update A few key updates were made to the CEWS this morning 1. Businesses will only have to show a 15% decrease in the month of March to qualify. 2. An additional reference period (Jan/Feb 2020 Average) was added to help you calculate the revenue reduction; you will have to use the same calculation each time you apply... 3. Pre-crisis remuneration will be based on average weekly wages between January 1st and March 15th inclusively. 4. Employers who engage in artificial transactions to reduce revenue for the purpose of claiming CEW would be subject to a penalty equal 25% of the value of the subsidy claimed, in addition be required to repay in full the subsidy that was improperly claimed.
