Modelling A Future Fashioned By Education!! We're excited to be Partnering with Local Designer Anthony El-cid for our Annual Fashion Night In Halifax Fundrais...er Gala in October. Born in Lebanon, 1991. Mr. El-cid's family moved to the East Coast of North America in 1992, raising him in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a child, he was captivated by the phases of metamorphose the environment transforms thorough, regularly. He began capturing these elements in his sketches. Adopting certain forms and emotions in his designs, early in junior high school, which would address the female form. He attended Dalhousie University prior to his enrolment at NSCAD University in 2012 where he his created his first garment and collection; while completing his BA in 2014, majoring in fashion and textiles. El-cid Has continued his practice and brands development in the city of Halifax, creating his clothing locally. El-cid explains that, "Fashion is the expression of humanity, thought and time. Through which we experience beauty." Beauty is all around us, as designer every collection addresses a stream of current thought, which is reflective of a current moment in time. Though these thoughts and moments are in constant change, each collection represents current stream of inspiration relative to its moment-in-time. El-cid's collections are shared and experienced on the runway and through media. Today, ANTHONY EL-CID is an emerging brand of women's haute couture and ready-to-wear, while also providing women custom services. Every collection is a glimpse into his world.
