We're excited to be working with City of Saskatoon - Your Local Government on a study about potential program/infrastructure opportunities and the ranking of proposed sites for the Permanent Outdoor Festival Site. We want to hear from you! Share your thoughts at: https://www.saskatoon.ca/en/permanent-outdoor-festival-site #yxe, #saskatoon #yxefestivals #saskatoonevents #saskatoonliving

The Riverbend Community School outdoor learning environment was completed in the Fall of 2020, just in time for staff and students to enjoy this beautiful new space! The outdoor classroom and gathering place features a seating area complete with lodge pole structures, a centre hearth space for smudging, and Indigenous plantings that surround the space. The Courage Circle is oriented to the four cardinal directions and includes eight CorTen weathered steel panels featuring Ojibwe constellations of each season in the north circumpolar sky. The circle opens up to the street edge, welcoming the community in to enjoy the space as well.

Check out this one of a kind playground for goats and kids of all ages opening soon! We had so much fun working with this stellar team: Assiniboine Park & Zoo, JRoss Construction, Wolfrom Engineering Ltd, and Playgrounds-R-Us!

Please consider donating what you can to help install what will be a beautiful permaculture garden and community meeting space at 545 Broadway. Elder Audrey Log...an has been teaching and sharing Indigenous agricultural practices for many years on this site and with her guidance we will be doing a significant refurbishment, transplanting the current garden from its less than ideal location (less than a foot of top soil over rubble) to the spacious front yard of this high profile heritage property. This Indigenous led garden will be a permanent, visible, celebrated feature of our community, at the corner of Broadway and Colony on Treaty One land. https://www.gofundme.com/f/west-broadway-indigenous-agricul See more
