COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Hear how languages teacher, Marisa Tassone, creates a student-centred atmosphere. Ms Tassone really connects with her students and understands her students. I know I can always count on her to listen to me and give me good advice. She has always shown care to her students and always gives second chances. - Isabella R., Grade 9 student. Ms Tassone is always working hard to make us better students. She understands how each student learns differently and... does a great job of helping us. - Mateo K., Grade 8 student. Whether it was one year ago or 20, let us know in the comments which of your teachers made an impact on your life and how.
HTS provides a virtual academic support hub for all K-12 students from 4:00pm to 8:00pm each day. This virtual learning space provides our students with access to educators who provide academic support in math, science, French, English and social sciences, as well as a Student Success Coach. Our virtual hub works in partnership as an extension to our daytime program, providing further instruction and support with homework, assessments, organizational skills, study skills, time management and problem-solving.
If ever there was a year to look back and reflect on the challenges, successes and opportunities we were presented with, this is the year. Read about HTS's journey in Taking Stock of 2020: A Reflective Journey https://issuu.com/htsrichmondhill/docs/takingstockof2020.
