Happy New Year Everyone! And thank you, 2021 started off this morning with hitting 4000 followers on this page! Truely Blessed! 2020 for everyone was a year like no other. Although this year had its ups and downs, I'm so thankful that it was one of my best personally and for Hub City Foodies. This is all thanks to you and your amazing support for local food, beer / wine and products. I could also not have done any of this without the support from my awesome wife and 2 ama...zing kids. Love you. Here are some of the things that made this year great. Partnered with Chef Matt Pennell during the quarantine to do weekly food challenges. We had over 400 entrees and were featured on Global News Nationally. Our family did a 2 week staycation and visited the entire province featuring local restaurants, breweries and distilleries. #tournb2020 got featured on CBC and on the Pickle Planet Moncton podcast. Partnered with Diani Blanco and Queens of Heart for a Buy a Box Give a Box where we raise almost $2500 for local families in need. Followed my passion and dove into Hub City Foodies full time. Turned one of our rooms in the house into a Class 4 kitchen. Did a ton of in home cooking experiences, including for the staff of one of my favorite restaurants Black Rabbit and favorite breweries CAVOK Brewing Co. Sold close to 200 Charcuterie boards during the holidays. Joined Nathan Dimitroff and Samuel Chiasson at Local Avenue Brand to help distribute their amazing #DrinkLocal merch. Thank you all for your continued support for local and cheers to 2021!!

Family Bubble Date Night! Finally made it to the new Monk10 restaurant. First off I have to say with the current orange level they made us feel super comfortable and the tables were well spaced out. They followed all the right protocols to ensure our safety. Chef Drew Hall and team have put together an great menu, from Lamb, to Curry to seafood there is something for everyone. The duck salad was amazing and I also had the beef cheeks. Sooooo good! ... For the craft beer lovers they have every local beer from the province...like 3 pages of beer! Make your reservations and enjoy Monctons newest restaurant.

Ok best new Comfort Food stop! Check out Elgin Country Kitchen & General Store Make this a stop on your way to Sussex or Fundy or heck just make it a stop to get some pretty awesome food! Located in beautiful Elgin NB this restaurant is located in an old Convenience Store built back in 1949. The food is all locally sourced and is smoked and cooked on site. You'll find Pulled Pork, Donairs, Fish and Chips , Brisket and even some Butter Chicken on the menu! This soon to... be licensed restaurant has that grandmother's kitchen feel and is open all year round. We had a great time chatting with Josh, Leanne and Kaitlyn, can't wait to go back! It always amazes me that we have one of the biggest Wineries in the #Martimes right in our backyard! Love Magnetic Hill Winery and B&B ! This family owned gem brings us award winning wines from a winery with the most incredible views of our City. Go out and visit them and say hi! They just launched 2 new whites and 2 new reds that are in my opinion some of the best in the Maritimes! They also have a Rhubarb and Blueberry that are coming soon! The Rhubard recently w...on an award so you can expect this one out soon. Go for the wine and stay for the view! How big are they? When we visited it happened to be "Bottling day" where they bottle 20k bottles in a day! Check out their social sites to see the pics! Pretty insane!

Another day another Roll! #lobsterrolltime in #shediac ! Hung out with some friends at Gabrièle - Hôtel & Restaurant and enjoyed their take on a lobster roll. My wife went with the bunless roll and a salad! They were both awesome!!! They also had some live music from Phil Black. Day 12 of #TourNB2020 #staycation #ExploreNB Lobster Rolls, Beach and Beers! #newbrunswick Started the Day with some Beach Time in Grand Anse where we ate at La Cantine for lunch. I devoured their Lobster Roll and fresh cut fries!! Sooo Good! The afternoon had a drink with Sommelier Robert Noel at La Brokerie which is a beautiful place / with a terrific view of the water. We talked about NBs great food wine and craft alcohols. He left me an amazing beer from @brasseriea...uval not from NB but Wow what a beer! This morning we stopped in at Brasseux de la Cote for a private tour. Got to walk away with some brand new beer creations. We love their Nut Brown and the Miscou Stout! PS I'm 5'10 Denis is Really tall! Another beautiful sunset at Camping Colibri Sur la mer. Off to #miramichi @ Péninsule Acadienne

Day 11 on our #TourNB2020 #ExploreNB #staycation spent the day on Miscou Island. Just when I thought the views and food couldn't get better! #newbrunswick On our way in to the island we stopped to have lunch at La Terrasse a Steve. This Restaurant sits right by the water offering amazing views and the food was delicious! I had the Stuffed Lobster! We then made our way to the tippy top of New Brunswick where you will find the historic Lighthouse that is over 150 years ol...d. The view from here really makes you appreciate what we have in NB #destinationnb #lobster

Day 10 of #TourNB2020 #staycation #ExploreNB we landed in Beautiful #caraquet for some Tacos and Tastings! We started our day touring the Distillerie Fils Du Roy where they have been producing some award winning liquor while using hyper local products. From Beers, to whiskey, to vodka and to their popular Gin Thuya they make it all! We invited Fils Du Roy owners Sebastien and Rosa over to the campground for super. They brought the best suprise, local chef Rodolfo who is in the process of opening a new restaurant here in Caraquet. The restaurant will be authentic Mexican food but will play with other flavors. He made us the most amazing tacos and a Charcuterie board!

Day 8 #TourNB2020 #ExploreNB #staycation Bathurst for 2 nights. Nothing better then a quiet night with supper made on the fire. We skipped Mount Carleton because of the weather. Extra night in #bathurst and that's ok! Tomorrow we visit 13 Barrels Brewing and chat with Olivier the Red Headed Beer Guy!! Can't wait!
