P.S. Sophie thinks this is a great idea! Hello, Friends! I am incorporating one new Covid safety measure with the latest outbreaks. Please do drop off at the door of the Groom Studio. You can place your pet on the inside of the safety gate which will be loosely set in place across the door opening. I will be out within moments to take care of them. They will find a little dish of treats close by when you set them inside.... I think this will help in keeping us all safe. Thanks so much, everyone! See more
Meet "Momma"...some might call her a 'foster fail' but I like to think of it as a 'foster success'!! Momma was rescued, fostered and placed in a forever home, but was returned to her foster home after 3 days of crying for her foster family. Of course, they adopted her, and before you know it this Baby gave birth to 7 puppies!!! Hence, the name, Momma. She is a rare and wonderful doggy. She chose her family, and they LOVE her.
Remember this sweet little face? "Lady Bee" loves treats!
Doing the Hugger test on the winter bling. All dogs need a job, right? Hugger is very patient, I modified it a few times
Would you like to see what a groomer has to do to get matts out of your pets coat? Use a comb to gently work the matt away from the skin. Hold the hair between the matt and the skin so the doggy does not feel any pain or pulling. Use a dematting mist to create 'slip'. Try to break the matt apart gently, then brush or comb through a little at a time.... It's time consuming and labour intensive! Not all matts can be lifted away from the skin, though. That can mean a complete shavedown in the middle of winter! WHAT CAN YOU DO? Use a comb on your dogs coat to find matts. Then brush the matts without brushing the skin. Especially after a bath, make sure to brush the coat out before it is completely dry. Otherwise matts will get tighter each bath time. If you have questions, I am here to help you keep your pets matt free/pain free and comfortable all winter long! See more
