Went back to take another look at this goal from the other night. Noticed how Simmonds intentionally lifts his left leg, while Marner shoots to the right. I’ve seen this a few times before, where the forward makes it seem like puck is coming to one side in hopes of pulling the goalie out of position. Thoughts? Subtle, but super effective move here by Barrie. Rotates his hips just enough for Hyman to bite and think he’s going to pass across. This opens up the entire right side for McDavid, and because of how good he is, everyone now focuses solely on him. Draisaitl is left alone for a split second and buries the rebound. Really liked this breakout play from @12jholl in the 1st, nice sidestep on Kahun & easy bump to Muzzin. Just wish that Tavares had taken that middle lane on the entry and drove the net for a screen or possible rebound. Made with @hudl #videocoach
