Mmmm! Delicious echinacea infused honey! We did this last year to try ourselves and it turned out great. 250 ml for $10, for sale now but recommended it sits in sunlight for 4 weeks to infuse.

Hug's Honeybees 14.05.2020

Has your honey crystallised? This is very common with natural unpasteurised honey and does not mean it has gone bad! To fix this, boil a pot of water, take it off the stove and place the honey jar in the hot water till it cools. It'll return to its natural liquid state!

Hug's Honeybees 10.05.2020

Queen marking day! We use a non toxic paint pen to mark our queens with their birth year to make it easy to track her age. Green is 2019, red was 2018. Did you know the lifespan of the queen averages 2 to 3 years?

Hug's Honeybees 24.02.2020

Interesting facts of the life cycle of a worker bee!

Hug's Honeybees 09.02.2020

Well, time to retire my very first queen. She's decided to stop laying at the age of 4.. Average for a queen is 3 years. I got 2 really good splits from her this spring. Her colony identified that it was time to go.. You can see the Queen on the honeycomb and the Queen cell to the left of her(looks like a peanut in texture) in a few days a new queen will emerge!

Hug's Honeybees 27.01.2020

Made the news! Keep helping us save the Bees!

Hug's Honeybees 16.01.2020

A new swarm in it's new hive.. The guard bees are fanning the entrance indicating the queen is inside.

Hug's Honeybees 09.01.2020

Another swarm catch! All the guard bees fanning the entrance with their behind up means the queen is in the new Hive!

Hug's Honeybees 26.12.2019
