Our very own Spencer Peters is now a physio resident after graduating with a Masters of Physiotherapy from Leeds Beckett University in the UK, where he also worked with Harrogate Town FC in Professional ‘Football.’ He has a lot of experience as a strength and conditioning coach having worked with the Ottawa 67's, CFL Redblacks, Ottawa Fury, Senators, Gee Gees and Junior Sens, etc. while also being a Human 2.0 staffer in sports performance Spencer believes in ...continuity of care starting at the time of injury back to peak performance. His goal is to educate patients to understand all the steps along the rehab and treatment process, and how to avoid needing MORE physio, BUT still see him for training ;) A little about Spencer Likes- Engaging in small talk including but not limited to: gas prices, real estate, and weather patterns Dislikes- Celery Favourite thing to do during COVID- Make sourdough Spencer will be taking patients for physio Tuesday and Thursday from 11-7 pm and is taking personal training clients and athletes as well. Do you wear shoes all day? Do you sit a lot? If you answered yes to either or both of these questions, chances are your ankles are at risk of injury. Why? Because the surrounding muscles are likely weak. Why? Because you don't use them - because you wear shoes and you sit all day. How to change that? First, take your shoes OFF and try these EXERCISES FOR ANKLE MOBILITY (stretch and strength) shown here by Human 2.0 coach DJ Jones.
