One of the best commercials I have ever seen regarding fitness - borrowed the great lessons from Ajay at My Wellness School: So many great lessons: -It’s never too late to start.... -Do what you can, with what you have, wherever you are. -All perceived limitations are just that perceived. -People may judge you, so what? If it’s important to you, keep going. -Find something that motivates you, and look at it every day. -Functional training is training for a specific task, whatever the task is. -Want to get out of bed faster? Set an alarm on a real clock, not your phone. -Kettlebells are an awesome training tool. -You don’t need a lot of space or fancy equipment to get a good workout. -You can still exercise in the cold, just layer up. -Progressive overload is the key to most healthy lifestyle changes, especially fitness. -Hire a coach/trainer or at least ask one about your exercise form -The best things are the simple things. -Taking care of yourself helps you take of others. Today is Giving Tuesday! We are featuring Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter this year. The shelter is a community-based feminist organization run by women that provides support and shelter for women and children escaping abuse and violence. These women and their children stay with the shelter until they find appropriate housing for them. During their stay the shelter provides them with any necessity they may need.... Last year Ernestine’s provided shelter and support to 44 women and 47 children. On top of the shelter program Ernestine’s supports over 400 women and children from across the GTA through outreach.
