If anyone is still requiring their 2020 CE hours, here is a link to our previous offering, packaged together for the full 6 hours. Apologies to anyone who needs only a portion of the hours, but it is only possible to purchase all 6 - if you have other 2020 credits from another source, you can always use the additional hours towards your 2021 requirements. https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/one-stop-for-2020-fse-ce-ticket

Good morning, All. Our presenters for the Human Rights CE session have asked that we distribute this brief survey as they gather information to make this session meaningful. Please remember SurveyMonkey surveys are anonymous, so offering your thoughts will only allow you to speak up on issues you may be concerned about. "Hello, The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity at Humber College are developing a customized Pathways to Human Rights, Education & Action workshop specifically for members of our industry. The purpose of this short survey is to identify the types of discrimination and harassment that those working in our industry encounter whether between staff and/or clients. We would appreciate receiving your feedback at the following survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SL2YSPV "

Humber Post Grad 08.09.2020

Greetings, All. Please read the message below that was sent to all who registered for our PD offerings in 2018. In case you were somehow missed, this is a copy of the e-mail from Michelle Clarke to registrants: Hello there!... I hope you're starting to get warm weather in your neck-of-the-woods and signs of spring are emerging! The past few months at Humber our Funeral Service faculty team have been busy with additional work items that none of us could prepare for. Additionally, we had some staff disruptions that we weren't prepared for... Ward Yorke retired from our faculty team in January after a long and successful career and although we are very happy for him, not having him around was challenging for all of us. Then Jeff Caldwell, who is a member of an international disaster response team, was called to assist with the tragic plane crash in Ethiopia for three weeks. This left me to cover his classes in addition to doing my own work. Needless to say, our team is exhausted!! As a result we elected to only host one professional development opportunity this year. We will not be hosting a spring Post Grad Conference. However, please save December 3, 2019 (from 6pm to 10pm) for our annual webinar and/or in-class event. I will be creating an Eventbrite site in the next few weeks so you can register early if you like. As we have in previous years, we will arrange a space on campus for anyone who wishes to participate in person as well as the online offering for those who cannot make the trip to attend in person. I will send an email when the Eventbrite site is ready so you can visit the site for more details. I am sorry for the inconvenience if you were hoping to attend a Post Grad Conference and I sincerely hope that we will be able to create one next year. I hope everyone will be able to participate on December 3rd. When the Eventbrite site is available please feel free to share the link with anyone you wish. All the best! Michelle

Here is the new link to register for the recorded version of the webinar **NOTE: if you already registered before the webinar do not use this link; use the one Michelle has e-mailed previously registered participants**. For anyone who did not register before last Tuesday, this is your link to register. THIS REGISTRATION SITE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER DEC.27, so please understand this is your very last opportunity to use Humber's webinar for PD. https://resiliencyvideo.event...brite.ca I will apologise now for the quality of the video - our webcam was not designed to record from the distance we had to be so much of the print on the screen is difficult to read, however the speaker is reading and explaining everything on the screens and the audio is fine. Michelle has promised that I can use some of the money from this year's event to purchase a proper camera for future webinars, so future events will be better - promise!

Humber Post Grad 07.08.2020

Good morning! We have some people who are visiting this site looking for post-grad information, and we've been terribly negligent with the site - my apologies! Humber FSE is offering another professional development opportunity in December for anyone still needing their 4 hours of PD. This event will be a seminar/webinar taking place Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 6-10PM. The topic will be resiliency, and will build on last fall's event (for anyone who did not attend last fall's event..., however you will not be at a disadvantage). If you can join us at Humber's North Campus to be part of the 'live audience' please do, but if you would rather we will also be broadcasting the event live. Cost for the event is $30 plus a registration fee for Eventbrite of less than $10, and the links to register are here: If you want to participate by way of webinar: https://resiliency-webinar.eventbrite.ca If you want to participate by way of in-class session: https://resiliency-inclass.eventbrite.ca Hope to see all there!
