Big guy made it into his new home 8’ long beast with ample shelf and drawer space! And here we have the worlds largest and heaviest coffee table!! Sitting at 60x48x18 and made from 2xspruce this thing is a beast. Couldn’t be happier with the end result and I’m so happy this awesome new client introduced me to a new stain!! Finished with #benjaminmoore Rustic Taupe Semi Transparent with many coats of clear over top I think this is a colour I’m going to be using often going forward. First project done! It’s kind of an unwritten rule that your benches and tables etc in a woodworking shop are pieces of art. They showcase your skills and create a blend of beauty and functionality. This, isn’t that. I’m a one man show, just starting out. The more time and money I spend on a work table, the less time I spend on projects for clients. This table consists of 4undersized casters that allow me to use it as my table saw outfeed table, main assembly area, and move... it around the shop as needed. It’s built from a dozen 2x4 and one piece of 3/4 mdf. It took a few hours start to finish. It’s not pretty, but it does everything I need it to.
