A little Joni Mitchell for everyone. Phew! It’s been a looong looong virus lockdown and I have chosen to focus on my kids’ schooling and mental health rather than try to put together online sessions. This means that I have not played or sung very much in the past three months. I must admit that this is also partly due to feeling really sad about not being able to see my clients. Paralyzing. I hope you are all alright out there in the world. Love from here.

Wow! Thanks Amanda Burgener for sharing this. I feel like we need to talk about these songs and their origin - and human rights. And historical trauma. Could it somehow be included in the music curriculum in schools? So much of African American/Canadian history is tied to the music we all listen to. Or at least to the ORIGIN of the music we listen to. And to many of the instruments we play.... Our children need to know about it.
