Took a break from training glutes to do a bench thing. I think that’s 315lbs for 3. I think it’s my first time getting 3 reps outta that. The goals is to make a balanced base to build off of for all my training coming up. It’s a good start. Thanks @jakelabelle_ for the spot and encouragement. St.Patrick’s day 2013 was the first day I walked into a gym to train. As the universe would align; it was the first day I squatted with Coach Terry of @dakotaweightlifting. And what a day it was. The nine circles of hell has nothing on what this man can do with a single movement. This was minute 90; working on speed squats. . . There is a crisis in the world but we will overcome together. Super fun skill @m_d_carter and I have been working on the past week. It’s still shaky when I sit on the floor but it’s hella more stable since a few days before this. A delightful PR at 550lbs deadlift today. @zwartben with the capture and post lift cheer. Get you a lifting partner and coach that pushes you and researches constantly to grow and improve. It sounds like you should come to @northstar.fit . Worked up to heavy singles and a 3 by 6 to end. Looking forward to our numbers going up. It’s truly time to optimize training. Last week the decision to pull 625lbs in a deadlift became clear to me. As well as how weak I was and how much strength I needed to gain. Pulling 650lbs in a rack pull gave me an idea as to how hard I have to work and what the weight felt like. It’s not bad. Not bad at all. It was inspiring. Few times has every part of my body focused so hard on a singular act not in fear; but with the desire to succeed. I feel gratitude to be able to do these things. . . . I started a group ...class and if you want to up your bench, deadlift and squat. As well as learn a new skill like handbalancing or calisthenics techniques, give me a shout to register! Today marks the first deadlift for the rest of my life! Training with @zwartben as coach. Second phase (pulling focused). 455lbs for 3. Technique needs a lot of work but it felt good. There is much to discover yet. Goal is 625lbs by February 1st. LES GOOOOOO!!!!! . . . I am accepting clients for personal training and have a variety of group classes running.
