Our fairy inspiration garden is ready for 2021! We enjoy setting it up, using different plants, accessories and arrangements every year. This season, we have a fairy swimming hole, a cottage in the woods and a gnome home in the trees. Talk to us if you need help designing a theme or picking suitable plants for your miniature garden

Ugh, I'm feeling a little jealous of this paradise!

Hubs said I was crazy to try and plant this garlic today...challenge ACCEPTED! It actually went surprisingly well. The ground is still soft underneath the snow. I labelled the four varieties I tried (instead of relying on the delusion that I'll remember come next season ). I tried Elephant Garlic, German White, Yugoslavian and Metechi. Metechi by far had the most cloves per bulb. The German and Yugoslavian had only 3 cloves per bulb. Hopefully this translates to gigantic German/Yugoslavian bulbs with more cloves next year. I never have any doubt about Metechi; and it's the variety that Hope Farm Organics happily endorsed this Fall for our region. So get out there and plant your garlic if you haven't yet! My planting play-by-play is in the photos.
