The Huntsville Soccer Club is hosting its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, Oct.1 at 7 p.m. via web video. All players, coaches and families of youth players are welcome to attend, as well as anyone interested in learning more about the club. Those who express interest will be sent a link to join the video. It’s an opportunity for the community to get involved with a fun group of individuals and as members of the Club’s executive committee.... Up for election are the voting positions of President, Minor Soccer Director, Head Club Referee, Club Rep Coordinator, Secretary and Treasurer. Opportunities exist in taking on other roles for the Club, including the Adult Coordinator position. There are also non-voting positions available in the form of an equipment manager and a communications coordinator. To all HSC members, The HSC Executive has been monitoring local and provincial updates regarding COVID 19 very closely, all while deliberating the outcome of the 2020 outdoor soccer season. It is with a heavy heart, yet with belief it is best for our community, the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 House League outdoor season for both Youth and Adult programs. The health and safety of our players, coaches, referees, guardians, and greater community are of utmost impo...rtance to us, and we can not in good conscience plan for a soccer season while putting any of you at risk. It is our hope however that all HSC members continue to train safely on their own, practicing for either an indoor season this winter, or for outdoor in 2021. We look forward to returning to the fields as soon as possible, and hope that all of you will be back soon to enjoy the great game of soccer. Refunds The HSC Administrator will be providing refunds over the following 2 weeks to those who have already paid for the 2020 Outdoor season. Please watch your credit card statements closely to ensure that you have been refunded the correct amount. Please note that it typically takes 5 business days for the transaction to appear on your statement. If you need to get in touch with the Administrator about your refund, please email [email protected], however know that he has many refunds to make and will be completing the task as quickly as possible. Rep Soccer For those of you who play soccer for one of our Rep teams, please note that the decision to cancel or continue with the 2020 outdoor season is in the hands of the Huronia District Soccer League, not the HSC. The League has yet to make a decision as they continue to gather information, however we will certainly notify all of you once we receive their decision.
