I've stared to view the first year of motherhood (regardless of how many children you've had) to be a time of planning. You start off trying to learn your babies habits and schedule so you can plan around it. Then it changes. You do this for a few months, most of your plans never coming to fruition. You realize you have the choice to keep making plans or surrender to your baby's plans and change the trajectory of your own. Lately I've started to plan much further in advance. ...I still dream about the sewing projects I want to start, the videos I want to make for this account, or what I'll be planting in my garden. But for now, day by day, I surrender to my baby's needs and maintain those daydreams as sweet little escapes during quiet moments. Does anyone else lay awake at night brimming with ideas and the anticipation of seeing your plans through some day? What do you think about? -Laurie Photo by Brittany Deck
