Principal’s Corner: Last night’s final session with Paul Robertson entitled, The 4 Cries of Kids Living in a COVID World was a sobering reminder of the intense pressure that our social media saturated culture can put on our children. It was also a reminder of the importance for us as parents and educators to be communicating with our children, to listen to what they are saying and experiencing. And if you’re anything like me, the enormity of that task can be overwhelming. I... encourage you to read the story of Balaam in Numbers 22 24. He was hired by the Moabite king, Balak, to curse God’s people, Israel, to make them powerless. Three times Balaam was supposed to curse them, but three times God used Balaam’s tongue to bless them. And then, to top it all off, he added a fourth blessing, one in which he prophesizes about the coming Messiah, A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel. He willcrush his enemies. (Numbers 24:17) Let’s be faithful in praying God’s blessing over our children. Nothing in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39) See more
