Huron Hockey Academy

Huron Hockey Academy is a High-Performance Academic-Athletic Private Preparatory School for students attending Grade 9-12. HHA is located on the Western Shores of Southwestern Ontario in the town of Seaforth, Ontario. At HHA we provide these young men with state-of-the-art learning and high-performance hockey training. As a private school, HHA is open to accepting International students who desire to attend College or University in North America. HHA offers an English as a Se...cond Language Course as well. HHA provides a highly structured education plan with class sizes half the size of a regular Ontario class size (12 students to 1 teacher ratio). Classes are structured around the on-ice hockey sessions throughout the day. Each player will spend 4 hours in the class room and a minimum of 2 hours on the ice per day. Our Staff and Coaches work together with our students, their parents and our Guidance Department in order to find the ideal post-secondary fit for our student-athletes. HHA players will attend Colleges and Universities throughout the United States exposing our players to the next level. HHA will play a minimum of 50 games throughout the season - including 3-4 college showcases. While HHA starts it’s inaugural starting in September of 2019, a smaller test program has been in place for 3 seasons. During those 3-seasons - 7 players have made College or University commitments in the United States, 4 players have signed professional contracts overseas and 8 have represented their respective home Countries at IIHF Tournaments. 6 more players have advanced to higher levels of Junior Hockey. HHA provides customary school schedules on a player by player basis. International and USA credits are transferable to meet/match the Ontario High School Curriculum. Students from abroad must take an English as a Second Language (ESL) course. International players should contact their home school/school board to ensure they send a copy of their transcript IN ENGLISH. After enrollment students can immediately start their courses online to help them get ahead before hockey starts. Players will be able to write the SAT test to qualify for College and University in the United States (SAT Test costs are an additional cost).
